As long as this is applied to ALL tobacco products, even combustible (and vaporized) products; furthermore, the higher taxes that are levied on those products that are actually (scientifically, not politically speaking)deemed to be the riskiest of them all should (for once) actually go towards covering the health care of sick smokers (ie., instead of subsidies for pork and pet projects that have absolutely nothing to do with smoking or smokers). Fair is fair. It's our money.<br /><br />With that said, as a smoker, I like the tone of this new direction. It's time for some fairness in the world of tobacco control. We pay for our vice (in more ways than one); therefore, we smokers deserve a bit of honesty (aka... via fair taxation and free speech..ie., we have a right to access all information with regards to the varying relative risks involved) and fairness for a change. <br /><br />Bravo for the change in direction.
